Heaven Media's epic battles are taking place at Fort Amherst, the most complete Napoleonic fortification in Britain. Originally built in 1756, Fort Amherst was a defense for the southeastern approaches to Chatham Dockyard and River Medway against a French invasion. Originally completed in 1758, the defenses were enlargened and strengthened considerably for the Napoleonic Wars, at the beginning of the 19th century. At its peak, Fort Amherst boasted 125 guns, with an underground tunnel system linking different areas of the fort, offering protection in the event of a siege.
